About Me
I studied as a mechanical engineer for my first degree. This experience helped me to understand thinking in systems and later influenced my clinical approach. When I started to leave the engineering field I moved to New Orleans to volunteer post hurricane Katrina. It was a little while after and I something that is important to me. I spent most of my time there helping young students with their reading skills. I also helped out in the science classroom, designing experiments and teaching the scientific method.
At least in part I got into this work after being told to find a herbalist. I couldn't find one so I became one. Earlier than that I went to see an Auyvedic practitioner who was the seventh generation in her family to practice. She told me I should be a doctor. These ideas stuck, became action and here we are today.
When I did dive into Chinese medicine, the scientific method became one of the aspects I love about it. I get to spend my days designing and testing experiments with my patients. They bring their knowledge of themselves. I bring my knowledge and practice of this healing wisdom tradition. We then work together to change lives.

I specialize in providing trauma informed personal care and treating strange diseases. It is important to have a fit with a provider and I am well versed at treating anyone with a pulse. That being said many of the cases that have walked through my door involve a certain amount of complexity. These people often have a history of fatigue or latent symptoms from illness that did not completely resolve.
